The Success of COCORROTO
Hey there everyone, my name is Alejandro Zamora and I'm a Community Manager for simmer.io. You may have seen me comment on some of your games or maybe you might have seen me comment on someone else's game. Apart from commenting on games I'm also the one who creates the SIMMER Rewind videos, promotes games to Editor's Choice or Founder's Club, and puts videos on the front page. I usually do most of my stuff in English, but I thought I'd try something different today by writing this in Spanish and English
It wasn't long ago when Rocco, simmer.io's founder, brought to my attention the game 'Blanc-manger Coconfinment', a game by Blancmangercoco, that had started blowing up on the site. I took a look at the game and tried to figure out what it was. This was a bit difficult for me mostly because the game was in French and I don't speak French. After translating the game to English with the power of the internet, I realized that it was a Cards Against Humanity like game.

I took a look at the analytics of the game, and I was blown away by how much it had actually blown up. I think it's safe to say that Coconfinement is possibly the most visited game on simmer.io. Blanc-manger Coconfinement hit some sort of gold mine in terms of how many people are playing it, and that's fantastic. It's always great to see our developers getting the recognition they deserve.
I have to say, after learning how to play and translating what the game said, I had some fun with it. It still wasn't a very efficient or practical way to play the game, but it was enjoyable. Just recently, Rocco brought to my attention that they had released the game in Spanish, 'COCORROTO' here. I took a look at the game, and I enjoyed the game much more. It was so much easier to understand and play.

The first thing that really stood out to me was the art style of the game. It's a simple art style, but it's really well done. Another aspect of the game that really stood out to me was the sound design. The music and sound effects match perfectly with each other and they also go great with the overall theme of the game. The background music is a ukulele beach vibes song which really adds to the theme.
Something that I found to be very easy to understand was the game's UI. It's simple and straight to the point. There isn't anything that I don't need and everything that I do need is right there. From the start menu I can choose what kind of game mode I want to play right away which is really nice. The UI is something simple, but when it's implemented in a great way, it makes playing the game much more enjoyable.

As for the gameplay, it's pretty straightforward. Think of Cards Against Humanity but with Cocorroto adding its own twist to the game. The available cards are pretty funny and diverse which allow for some really interesting and hysterical combinations. Each game doesn't last too long and it is very easy to just pick up and play a quick game.
Overall, I really enjoyed the game and I think that you might too if you try it out. The success of the game is great for both it and simmer.io and I hope that we can get more games like it onto the site. For now, nice job Blancmangercoco, keep it up.
