You have unlimited time. Defeat all enemies in the wave to start the next one. There are 10 waves. Once you enter the main arena, there's no going back. The gate closes, and you are locked in until you fall or win.

Rage - As you inflict damage and take damage, you slowly build a rage meter. Once you are full, the character emits a red lightning aura. Press V to trigger Rage Blast. Lightning - As time goes on, you slowly activate the lightning ability. Once you are full, the character emits a blue lightning aura. Press C to trigger Lightning Strike
