Use "w" "a" "s" "d" as your directional controls and "space" to jump in order to escape from the waves of enemies. Left click will produce a pulse beam that repels enemies for a short time, but then goes on a cool down that is visible in the bottom right corner. Survive for as long as you can and try not to bite the dust!
